nebx.ai · AI research and engineering

Exploring the path to advanced intelligence, and building what it runs on.

nebx works on advanced AI, autonomous agents and AI infrastructure. We study where the field is heading, including superintelligence and its safeguards, publish what we learn, and ship free tools for developers.

Focus areas

Five research tracks

Each track collects notes, experiments and code as the work moves forward.

01 / advanced-ai

Advanced AI

Reasoning, planning and long-horizon problem solving in modern models.

  • Reasoning and planning
  • Multimodal models
  • Long-context memory
02 / superintelligence

Superintelligence

What systems more capable than people could mean, and the safeguards they need.

  • Alignment
  • Scalable oversight
  • Risk and governance
03 / agents

Autonomous agents

Agents that use tools, keep memory and coordinate with each other to finish real tasks.

  • Tool use
  • Multi-agent coordination
  • Agent evaluation
04 / research

AI research

Reading, reproducing and explaining research in plain language.

  • Paper notes
  • Reproductions
  • Benchmarks and evals
05 / infrastructure

AI infrastructure

The systems underneath: serving, retrieval, compute scheduling and observability.

  • Inference serving
  • Vector search and RAG
  • Cost and observability

Principles

How we work on powerful AI

  1. Safety first

Capability work and safety work move together. Every agent experiment ships with limits and a way to stop it.

  2. Open by default

Notes, code and results are published, including the experiments that didn't work.

  3. Measure, don't hype

Claims come with evaluations, not demos. If we can't measure it, we say so.

  4. People stay in control

Autonomous systems act on behalf of people, with oversight built in from the start.
